Kaizer Chiefs’ win against Orlando Pirates is a big deal, but coach Arthur Zwane wants his team to hurry up and get on with the work that needs to be done.

Zwane’s Chiefs side secured victory in a typically chaotic game at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
But neither Chiefs nor Pirates – the country’s biggest team – played in a manner that suggested they could challenge Mamelodi Sundowns’ dominance.
Victory for Chiefs came through Olisa Ndah’s unlucky own goal in the dying minutes of the game.
Before that, the game was headed for another draw. Ndah tried to play a back pass with a header but Sipho Chaine came off the line and sailed past him and into the net.
Speaking after the game, Zwane said the win was important for Chiefs, not everything.
“Yes, we always want to put a smile on their faces,” Zwane said. “We always want to see them happy.
“But only six more points for us. I don’t want the players to focus only on beating Orlando Pirates.
“We want to beat every team we meet because the league is a marathon.
“It’s not just about winning against Orlando Pirates. But yes, it’s very important for us as a club…
“Knowing the history (of the Soweto derby), every time we play against Pirates we have to beat them,” the Chiefs mentor said.
The commander is still on the way
Zwane was under a lot of pressure going into the game. Many believed that if he lost the derby, he would be sacked.
But after the game said Zwane was never threatened, because he knew what the plan was, and they were still on the way to the glory of the Chief.
Without mentioning his name, Zwane made an example of how Sundowns became as dominant as they are today.
“There is a plan for Kaizer Chiefs going forward, you know. This is our secret as a club, but we have it,” Zwane said.
“And if you want to achieve something, you can’t allow too much to happen.

“As a club, we have a plan and everyone will see it. A lot of other teams have a plan and now everyone can see it.
“You can see where he started and where he is now. And soon – but if not soon – later you will all see where we are as a club,’ explained the Chiefs mentor.
