World Cup 2026: Inaki Williams hoping to score for Ghana in final group match against Croatia

Ghana forward Inaki Williams says he is determined to score his first goal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup when the Black Stars face Croatia in their decisive final Group L encounter.

The Athletic Club striker missed Ghana’s opening match against Panama but returned to the starting lineup for the high-profile clash against England.

With Ghana now preparing for a crucial showdown against Croatia, Inaki Williams has admitted he is eager to make a bigger attacking impact in front of goal.

Speaking ahead of the final group-stage fixture, the forward expressed his desire to open his scoring account at the tournament while emphasising that the team’s result remains the main objective.

“I hope to score against Croatia, but the most important thing is the three points,” the striker told SuperSport.

The Group L meeting between Ghana and Croatia is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 27, with kickoff set for 21:00 GMT.

Currently on four points from the first two matches, Ghana could finish top of Group L with a win against Croatia. Croatia, on the other hand, need a win to secure their qualification to the knockout stage.
