World Cup 2026: Former Arsenal star backs Morocco to reach final
Former Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has made his pick for the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The player, who is currently on the books of Real Betis, is backing Morocco to reach the tournament final to face Spain.
Despite putting a lot of faith in the Atlas Lions, Bellerin believes Spain will come up on top to lift the trophy at the end of it all.
“Spain and Morocco will reach the final, and La Roja will win the World Cup,” he said as reported on the Real Betis social media account.
Morocco enjoyed an impressive campaign at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where the Atlas Lions became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the global showpiece.
Eventually finishing fourth, Morocco now heads to another tournament carrying huge expectations. At this year’s tournament, the North Africans are drawn into Group C, where they are set to battle Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
Morocco will open their campaign against Brazil on Saturday, June 13, in what would be a very challenging contest.
