Women’s Soccer Team in Congo Beat Referee After He ‘Denied Them a Penalty’ | Football/Soccer

Shocking footage has emerged of a Congolese women’s soccer team chasing a referee and assaulting him after reportedly being denied a penalty.

The player from DC Motema Pembe targeted the match official on the pitch with five team members following him after the seemingly controversial decision.

The referee managed to free him from the initial attack, running out of the field of play as he walked towards the Athletics track that surrounds him, but the attack continued.

One man was seen trying to join the team bench on the sideline by swinging a punch but he couldn’t beat it. It is not known if the man belongs to the same team.

The referee managed to escape briefly by running behind the cave but was soon surrounded again outside the tunnel.
