Without the NHS improving Sunak’s government looks doomed – politicalbetting.com

Parents rated their health the highest

Yesterday I took a big decision and made an appointment with a private surgeon for my spine. It will be expensive but I had a procedure on the NHS two months ago which didn’t seem to do the trick and now I can barely walk.

My fate is not strange. I’m sure many PBers can tell you how difficult it is to see a GP and many of them will be part of the 7m on the NHS waiting list. Of course this is not a good backcloth for the Sunak government in the general election campaign.

The R&W poll above shows how high up the list of public priorities is the NHS where the excuse of “dealing with COVID” doesn’t have the same force.

Look at the details of this latest poll and among the oldest age groups, the NHS has only made the economy the second most important concern. This is not good news for the current government,

No doubt the Tories will take a beating on May 4th locally.
