According to Sonnie Badu, he thought that God only created Adam and Eve who gave birth to Cain and Abel, so he did not know who married Cain as mentioned in Genesis 4:17. Sonnie Badu dropped the question in a Valentine’s Day post.
He wrote “who did this to us? Where is the mystery hidden? So Cain got married? Okay, what’s his wife’s name? Who are his parents? I thought it was only Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel .. Then Abel died so Cain was left … I have a question …. Can a scholar help me? Happy valentine on behalf of Cain to his wife“.
It is not clear why Sonnie Badu posed the question to his fans as many of his followers believed that as someone who studied theology, he would have known the answer to the question.
However, some social media users have answered their questions. “You thought? Or do you read? You need to study the Bible more,” the Facebooker wrote with another adding “The Bible was written according to a person or people. Psalms, John, Peter, etc. So common sense would say that a writer can emphasize some points & omit some points. That doesn’t mean they don’t happen“.
Another comment states that “It is believed that Adam and Eve had other children besides Cain and Abel, but why is it not mentioned? For me, I would say it is because of the point of view of the writer of Genesis. The Bible is not an unrelated book, but the story all runs together. So, the reason why others are not mentioned is because the author of Genesis focused on specific events and tried to trace history to the time he wrote. The other people at that time (from Cain and Abel) may not be important to the storyline. I am humble”.
