After Friendship took the main hit during season 3 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Whitney Rose took to Twitter to reveal his cousin and costar, Heather Gayhave started re-following him on Instagram.
“So, I was followed again yesterday after his ride-or-die punishment yesterday… WILD!” Whitney tweeted on Friday, January 7th.
Tweets and news come on the heels of ROSLC brother, Jane Shah, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud in connection with a telemarketing scam targeting the elderly. A coincidence that is not lost on the founder of Wild Rose Beauty.
Looking at the timing of Whitney’s photo evidence, Heather’s “priority”-label started following Whitney just 20 years before she posted the picture.
Fans had a very mixed reaction with some calling Whitney “desperate” for trying to create a storyline for season four. ROSLC and others came to his defense.
One fan commented, “This was one of those situations when I was with Whitney.”
Another said: “I love her and Whitney’s feelings for her, but this is just petty and childish. She needs to get off social media and try to fix her relationship.”
While a third party opined that this was a tactic for the show, “Extreme efforts are made for an underwhelming storyline, each development duller than the next.”
Whitney and Heather have been battling it out in the latest season of ROSLC and the brothers who were once close have not been able to repair the broken relationship. Heather has staunchly stood by Jen’s side throughout her legal ordeal while simultaneously taking a “friend break” from Whitney amid childhood trauma recovery.
Speaking about their friendship to Us Weekly Heather said she’s “not sure how to fix” their broken bond because she doesn’t “even know” what went wrong.
“The way it just disappeared at night, I feel that our friendship is just smoke and I’m not sure how to fix it. … I still don’t know what I did wrong and, like, how to fix it. I’m really frustrated, and I’ve done it out of character for me when I get really frustrated and kind of pushed to my limits,” Heather told the outlet.
He goes on to say that he’s a “different person” and “reevaluates” his friends and it’s unclear what that means for him and Whitney.
“I just feel like I’m starting to appreciate the people in my life on a consistent basis, and it’s been hard to see our friendship,” she said.
