Cassidy Hutchinson was the top aide to Mark Meadows, then-president Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff. She described Trump as a man who is “dangerous to our democracy.” In her book “Enough,” she said she was allowed to handle armloads of classified documents at the White House, even though she did not have a security clearance to deal with them. She observed Trump’s temper when Bill Barr told him there was no evidence of significant fraud in the election. She testified seeing Mark Meadows burn classified documents and once said to her, ” I can get through this job and manage to keep him out of jail’ ‘I’ll have done a good job.” She also was aware Trump watched the insurrection and did nothing to stop it.” WHAT MORE DOES ANY AMERICAN VOTER NEED TO REALIZE THAT TRUMP SHOULD NOT GET THEIR VOTE?

Colonel Vindman was on the call with Trump and President Zelensky, where Trump demanded that President Zelensky investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, a potential 2020 rival. Vindman was concerned about how Trump’s behavior could threaten national security and US support of Ukraine. Colonel Vindman eventually had to end his military career because the draft-dodging Trump vilified him, and the emasculated Republicans allowed it.  Vindman was called by the White House not to discuss the call. He ultimately sued Trump and his allies for intimidation.

Former House Rep. Adam Kinzinger was a member of the Jan. 6th Select Committee. Kinzinger has created an anti-Trumpism organization called Country First. He also declared he is so concerned about democracy that he will vote for Joe Biden. Kinzinger calls Trump a direct threat to every fundamental American value.”  He also warns that Trump will “hurt anyone or anything in pursuit of power.”( IPM, June 26, 2024). Kinzinger says he never imagined he would ever be voting for a Democrat for President. However, he stands by Biden because he stands for defending our democracy.

After Trump’s behavior on Jan. 6th, General Milley reassured his Chinese counterpart that the US and its military were stable. He then became a target of Trump, who called him a traitor who should be punished by death. Milley is one among many career military officers whom Trump targeted because they were doing their job and putting the country’s security over party politics. Anyone supporting Trump is not a supporter of the military; they are supporters of a rogue ex-president who is an admirer of our enemies.

Non MAGA members of Congress and the military did not organize a movement to save their party from Trumpism. Why won’t Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, or Chris Christie run as an independent and give Trump-hating Republicans a person to vote for that they can feel both proud of and loyal to their party. They could siphon away enough votes to defeat Trump. President Biden would undoubtedly repay their effort with a place in government where they could serve their country.

ELECTING TRUMP WOULD ALIGN AMERICA WITH PUTIN, KIM JONG UN, AND XI JINGPING. IF THAT HAPPENS, TRUMP VOTERS WILL FOREVER BE SEEN AS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEMISE OF AMERICA FREEDOMS. ADDITIONALLY, IT WOULD BE WISE FOR ALL TRUMP GUN LOVERS TO READ UP ON HOW DICTATORS DON’T LIKE LIBERAL GUN OWNERSHIP LAWS.
