Selena Gomez‘s mom has fans concerned and confused after a cryptic new post!
Over on Instagram on Sunday, Mandy Teefey shared a carousel of photos on both her Stories and her grid, making fans wonder just what’s going on. And there’s a lot to these posts, so buckle in…

Mandy’s post starts off with a picture of Selena and her younger half-sister Gracie Teefey. The mom of two wrote in the caption of her post:
“My greatest accomplishments, love me or not. They are the coolest. I one day they will see what a bad ass I am and love me back as much as I love them. I’m just mom. Who never gives up when they throw me in the trash. I tell ya mom you’re doing it wrong, maybe so, we will see. But no matter what I got your back.”
Wait, WHAT?! “Throw me in the trash”? Oof! That doesn’t sound good!
And the other pictures she shared in the carousel paint an ever-concerning picture. One shows an AI-generated photo of a Barbie doll in a trash can, with the caption:
“Me when I have to run the business I manifested”
Of course, with Selly G and Mandy co-founding Wondermind together, this could be a jab at that. But continuing on, she shared another photo of her eldest daughter, then a quote:
“Just to be clear, I’m that loyal friend who would take a bullet for you. But I’m also probably the reason we’re getting shot at. Balance matters.”
A final quote in the carousel reads:
“She outgrew what drained her.”

The cryptic posts didn’t end there, though. In her Stories, Mandy shared more quotes! One read:
“Don’t speak to me about loyalty. I’m still keeping secrets for people who dragged my name through the mud.”
That was then followed by a post that talks about having “nothing to prove” and “not fixing what I didn’t break”.
And a final post shared by Mandy reads:
“Paint me however you want. Label me, judge me, twist the story if you must. But understand this: my heart is pure, my loyalty is solid, and my intentions are real.”
She further captioned that one, suggesting the “curtain is rising soon”, which is even MORE cryptic!
Overall there’s lots of talk about loyalty there! Sooo did someone break her trust?? That’s what fans want to know. In the comments of her post, fans had lots of questions:
“WTF, Mandy. If you’re having issues with them, you shouldn’t post this on social media. People will take it out of context and keep hating on Selena. I don’t know what’s going on, but go talk to your daughter instead of creating drama.”
“posting about this as the parent is quite a strange choice queen”
“So whatever is going on between you and her will definitely pass !!”
“One must keep their personal life to themselves and realise their daughter is too big of a celebrity to throw such tantrums”
One fan pointed out, however, it sounded like Mandy was just joking:
“literally talking bout no longer being the cool mom to her girls . Sum kids grow out of it and forget how cool mommas can be . She’s joking about Gracie growing up n Selena . If ur not a mom u don’t understand.”
So… what’s going on? According to Mandy, it’s exactly that! She replied to one fan, clearing the air:
“Girl. It’s typically moms not cool joke. Calm down. lol.”
Well we’re glad to hear that!
No word from Selena or Gracie on this post as of yet, though. We wonder what they think about it.
