Idolizing an adulterer, a fraud, a liar, a bully, an autocrat, a crude, cruel, disrespectful narcissist has become the cool thing for evangelicals, white nationalists, and wimpy old members of Congress to do. How will they feel when the federal check they depend on shrinks or disappears? Or when it comes their turn to be marginalized or targeted? How will the vote losing it’s legitimacy feel? If The Affordable Care Act get eliminated, how will having no insurance to pay for cancer treatment feel? The reason why so many pundits, members of the media, and comedians can’t stop calling MAGA enthusiasts idiots is because they believe that stupid red hat and slogan will disappear all their woes. To feel trust for a violent old man who runs around calling people names, acting like a rebellious, disrespectful teenager, and makes promises he never keeps is baffling.
THE HYPE ABOUT THE MAGA BASE’S POWER IS EXAGGERATED. THEY ARE FRINGE VOTERS. THEIR CANDIDATE IS FEARED, BUT HATED EVEN MORE BY 3/4 OF AMERICANS.
Why does character matter for a president? Character influences decision-making. It inserts compassion and fairness into the process of giverning. It creates trust and pride in a leader. Character attracts allies and strengthens national security.
The religious beliefs of Christian voters and legislators are negatively influencing the protection of individual freedoms. A woman’s right to reproductive freedom was a 50 year law that religious extremists on the Supreme Court cancelled. Republican hypocrites want the freedom to own weapons of war and to speak hatefully and dishonestly. However, they simultaneously want the government to force women to stay pregnant against their will despite the emotional or physical risk involved. How would forcing men to get vasectomies be received by the MAGA base?
MAGA extremist Tommy Tuberville has held up hundreds of military promotions because of his stance on abortion practices in the military. He is a fanatic who has been enabled by the GOP. National security has been compromised by his actions and the Republicans have allowed it. This is an un-American act that has put lives at risk. Additionally, Trump stealing and exposing hundreds of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago has been a national security nightmare for the United States military and intelligence community.
Gerrymandering and voter suppression laws enacted by Republicans are strategies aimed at limiting access to vote for minorities and people living in poverty. Republicans resort to cheating because they know the majority of Americans reject GOP policies and morals.
Despite the fact that over 70% of Americans from both parties support gun reform, Republicans in Congress pander to the gun lobbyists. . Sensible people agree an average citizen does not need an automatic weapon to ward off a burglar or car thief. Background checks, age limits, and mental health guidelines need to be legislated as protective measures for public safety. However, the law allows gun industry donors to buy members of Congress to vote for unlimited access to guns to promote exhorbitant profits.
During his endorsement speech for Rep. Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House, Rep. Tom Cole announced he celebrated Jordan’s plan, backed by Republican majority in the House, to cut Medicare, Medi-caid, and Social Security benefits.
REGARDING THE CONSTITUTION, TRUMP HAS ANNOUNCED HE PLANS TO “GET RID OF” THE PARTS HE DOESN’T AGREE WITH AND MAKE CHANGES THAT SUIT HIS GOAL OF UNLIMITED PRESIDENTIAL POWER. NO MORE SEPPARATION OF POWERS FOR AMERICA SAYS MAGA REPUBLICANS.
In America we have had men of high moral character, bravery and patriotism from both parties become President. In addressing the horrors of the Holocaust, Republican President General Dwight D. Eisenhower said,
And then there is fake Republican ex-President Donald Trump who has called living and dead war heroes “suckers and losers” for getting wounded, captured, or killed, called Nazis “good people” in Charlottesville, and calls insurrectionists victims and patriots.”
