West Ham are in advanced talks to sign Aston Villa striker Danny Ings.
Sky Sports News have been told talks are over a permanent deal for the 30-year-old, who has scored six goals in 18 Premier League games this season.
Ings joined Villa from Southampton in the summer of 2021 and has made 52 appearances for the West Midlands club.
West Ham are already in the market to sign a striker during the January transfer window and have a bid worth £25m for the Lorient striker. Hall Moffi was rejected last week.
One of the sources said Sky Sports News Lorient will accept the offer, but the player is undecided whether to join.
Defeat Everton could be the last problem for Moyes
Meanwhile, West Ham will consider changing their manager if they lose at home to Everton on Saturday.
Boss now David Moyes are under pressure with their team picking up just one point from their past seven league games.
While it is acknowledged that Moyes has done a good job, more was expected after West Ham spent £160m in the transfer window last summer.
They are currently 18th and the only goal difference is to avoid the bottom of the table.
In the past two seasons, West Ham have finished seventh and sixth under Moyes.
