Nigeria is divided into six geopolitical zones; North-west, North-east, South-west, North-central, South-south and South-east.

The elected President, Bola Tinubu is from the South-West, while his Deputy, Kashim Shettima, is from the North-East. In addition, both are Muslims.

The party recently met on the issue at the Presidential Villa but there is no decision taken in.

The 10th National Assembly will be inaugurated in June.

We will make an announcement in due course – Morka

Mr. Morka said the general public should ignore the report on zoning, adding that the party would be open to decisions on zoning.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to reports circulating on social media about the zoning of key positions in the forthcoming 10th National Assembly.

“The report is false and misleading, and should be taken seriously.
