The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, said yesterday when he took the campaign to Irepo Local Government Area of ​​the state that the administration will increase the economic security of the area by linking the old Irepo and the old Ifedapo axis together.

Governor Makinde, who commended his representative, Alhaji Bayo Lawal as a trustworthy person, said he has been a good representative for the people of Oke-Ogun and Kisi in particular.

While addressing the non-indigenous residents of Sooro Village, Makinde said that if he is re-elected, he will implement Omituntun 2.0, which he said will focus on sustainable development and consolidation of the gains that the administration has recorded in Omituntun 1.0.

He charged the councilors to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the National Assembly, governorship and State Assembly elections, adding that his government has achieved a lot in the last 44 months.

The governor added: “In the next administration, economically, old Irepo and old Ifedapo will be linked. This is the only place where intra-zonal relations have started. In all other places, we have linked one zone to another because of the Saki economy that want to turn it into a major economic center.

In his words, the representative of the council of customs, religion and community leaders praised Governor Makinde for choosing one of Kishi’s children as deputy governor, promising to be successful in the second term bid.
