Three children of the late Black Stars footballer, Christian Atsu have paid touching tributes to their father who will be laid to rest on Friday March 17, 2023.
In an emotional tribute, the children said they will miss their father for the love he has shown them and for receiving what he wished for.
Christian Atsu tragically died in the devastating earthquake in February after being trapped in the rubble for over a week.
Atsu’s two sons and daughter expressed their love for their father, that he always accepted and loved them.
The children wrote, “I miss you dad. You love us for who we are and accept us for who we strive to be. You always make us smile and fill us with strength. Your strength gives us protection and love.
Now that you are in heaven, I know that you will continue to protect me. Thank you for being our father. We will always love and miss you. Rest, father.”
The former Chelsea and Newcastle United man will be laid to rest in his home town of Dogobome.
