We have no records of Rev. Kusi Boateng in our database – NIA

This was in response to a request made by the NDC Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa about the dual identity of Pastor Kusi Boateng.

In a lengthy statement, the NIA described the allegations by the MP as baseless, without merit and urged Ghanaians to ignore the allegations.

According to the NIA, there is no record of Rev. Kusi Boateng in the database as claimed by Mr. Ablakwa.

The NIA added that one of the registration centers in Kumasi should have issued an identity card to Kwabena Adu Gyamfi after providing all the required documents but there was no ID card in the name of Victor Kusi Boateng.

“During the mass registration exercise, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi went to the NIA registration center called Vicandy School at Asuoyeboah in Kumasi on January 15, 2020 to register for the Ghana Card;

“He submitted to the NIA registration officer a valid Ghanaian passport issued by the Passport Office on May 16, 2018, in the name of Kwabena Adu Gyamfi; the expiry date on the passport is May 15, 2023. The NIA registration officer registered Kwabena Adu Gyamfi using a valid passport as a document basic identity for registration, and valid Ghana card issuance;

“The NIA has no record of anyone with the name Victor Kusi Boateng in the NIR, and the NIA has no record in the NIR of anyone born on September 7, 1971 or any other day with the name Victor Kusi Boateng.”

Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, on Monday, January 16, petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to investigate the GH₵‎2.6 million paid to JNS Talent, a company owned by the Secretary of the National Cathedral Council, Victor Kusi Boateng. according to different identities.

JNS Talent Center Ltd which allegedly runs a crèche in Dawhenya was paid some GH¢2.6 million to help build the cathedral, Mr Ablakwa said.
