We didnâ??t expect defeat against Swedru All Blacks â?? Vision FC assistant coach Wilson AsareÂ
Vision FC assistant coach Wilson Asare Burton has expressed surprised following his outfit defeat to Swedru All Blacks in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
After an evenly contested and goalless first half, it was the hosts who struck first, with Faruk Mohammed breaking the deadlock five minutes after the restart.
However, the visitors staged a strong comeback, with Rudolf Mensah and Zayat Bubakari scoring decisive goals to secure victory for the Swedru-based club.
“We didn’t expect defeat. It is not good for us to lose this game. Usually, teams fighting relegation come out with everything to win, and I think that is what overwhelmed our boys.
Tactically, it was a balanced game. We created the expected chances, but our finishing was not good enough. This is not what we anticipated, but it has happened. We now need to regroup and revitalize the team. We also give credit to Swedru All Blacks for their victory.”
The result sees Swedru All Blacks move level on 38 points with their hosts, while Vision FC’s five-match unbeaten run comes to an end with only their second home defeat of the season at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
