LAB will be the top party again

By far the biggest loser when the SNP began to rise in the aftermath of the 2014 Indy referendum was Scottish Labour. It is the traditional main party north of the border and indeed in the 2005 and 2010 elections it came away with 41 of the 59 Westminster seats.

It has all been swept away after the referendum and only now we have started to see Labor recovery.

Wikipedia’s average polling graph has the SNP still in the lead in Scotland, but the trend is very clear and it shouldn’t be long before Starmer’s party takes the lead there.

I do not think that Scot LAB is in a position to return to the 2010 level of support but it is easy to see how they can take maybe at least half of the Scottish seats.
