The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has forecast warm to hot conditions in Limpopo, North West, Free State and Northern Cape on Tuesday.
According to the weather service, isolated thunderstorms can also be expected in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal.

Tuesday’s weather forecast
Gauteng: Partly cloudy and warm with showers and thunderstorms.
east: Cloudy with morning mist along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated rain and thundershows but scattered in the escarpment and the eastern Highveld area.
Limpopo: Partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thunderstorms except in the Limpopo Valley.
Northwest: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with showers and thunderstorms.
Free State: Partly cloudy and warm to the heat, with scattered rain and thundershowers, but isolated in the north.
Northern Cape: Cloudy along the coast with morning fog, it used to be fine and warm to heat, but very hot in the north, becoming partly cloudy with isolated rain and thundershows in the east from the afternoon, but scattered in the southeast. Winds along the coast will be light to moderate from northwest to west.
Western Cape: Very hot to very hot in the east, used to be partly cloudy and warm to heat with isolated rain and thundershows in the northeast, but fine in the center. Light rain is expected at places along the coast and adjacent interior in the afternoon. Winds along the coast will be light to moderate from the northwest on the west coast, or southwest. Expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme.
Western Half of the Eastern Cape: Looking and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy with rain and thunder in the interior and north in the evening. Winds along the coast will be moderate to fresh from the northeast, becoming southwest in the evening.
Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape: Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with rain and thunder in the afternoon, but isolated in the west. Winds along the coast will be fresh to the northeast.
KwaZulu-Natal: Partly cloudy and warm with rain and thunder in the west, except in the northeast. Winds along the coast will be moderate to fresh from the east to northeast. Expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme.
