The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of 43,742 candidates who sat for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates in 2022.
The examining body stated that the number of entries consisted of 20,164 males and 23,578 females. 76 of the candidates are also visually impaired and 2 are hearing impaired.
About 901 candidates accused of exam malpractices have had their results disqualified.

Meanwhile, caution has been given to the public to beware of fraudsters who can lure people into paying money with the promise of improved results.
