The premiere season of Vanderpump Rules bring some shocking revelations!
Since Lala Kentrung joined the reality show in season 4, fans have long speculated about him and James Kennedy must have been hooked up at one point. They’ve kept relatively quiet about the rumors over the years, but now, the couple is finally ready to address what’s going on between them! During the season 10 premiere of VPR On Wednesday, James and Lala admitted cheating on their ex-partners – Rachel Lewis and Randall Emmett, respectively. Talk to James and his co-stars Katie MaloneyThe 32-year-old podcast host announced she and DJ were “hooked” in 2016. She explained:
“James and I, when we were new in our relationship, were definitely hooked.”
OMG!!!
Before he continued his story, James asked Lala not to say anything:
“You make me nervous. My heart was pounding. Like, please don’t. Please don’t.”
But momma one does not plan to continue anymore! He confirmed the drunken dalliance that happened when he and James were in Chicago for a performance – and that “handstands” were involved. He agreed with Lala but insisted that he never had additional “fun” behind Raquel back after that tryst. But at one point, a montage appeared on the screen of a woman who was also allegedly sleeping during the relationship with the 28-year-old. Yes!

Undeniably, it must be rough for Raquel to find out about the hookup now. The television personality, who split from James in December 2021 after five years of dating, was (understandably) upset by the news, telling AND! News he “had to do a little investigation to make sure it was true.” He added:
“For some reason, I was very naive in the past and I thought James had never lied to me, but this clarified that he had lied to me many times. It was definitely a hard pill to swallow.
Randall has yet to respond to the confession — but we doubt he’ll say much since he and Lala are no longer together after the cheating allegations and other claims that plagued him! Meanwhile, James’ current girlfriend Ally Lewber can’t believe what a 31-year-old reality star for Raquel. He told me Page Six it came as a “surprise” to him at first, he said:
“I was mad at her for a moment, of course, yes. I felt so bad for Raquel at the time – just know [they] going to get married, and he won’t know this. It’s never fun to find out about a partner.
It would have been very s**** y James if they stayed together and he didn’t have until cheating on him with Lala! He went on to note that the couple “talked” after the revelations came out, and they seem to be on good terms now. But what does James have to say about his actions? He told me E! This was “not a proud moment for me,” he noted:
“I’m not perfect-I’m not now and I wasn’t in my early 20s-but I’m 30 now and looking back there’s no step I’ll make now and good life lessons.”
James also said he’s done “a lot of reflecting” since hooking up with Lala, and he’s very happy with his new girlfriend:
“When I saw my relationship with Ally, I can honestly say that I have never felt like this in my life. Maybe I should have gotten to this place.”
If James is mad at Lala for revealing his secret, he says Page Six:
“Honestly, no, I don’t have time to be angry with Lala about what happened six years ago. Since then, we have been trying to be friends.”
We don’t blame Raquel if she’s mad at Lala and James for keeping it a secret for so long!
