Member-elect for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, Chief Philip Agbese, has urged constituents who live in other states of the federation to massively vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the election.
Agbese specifically called on the people of the constituency living in Lagos State to vote for the re-election of the governor of the state, Babajide Sanwoolu, who he said, has demonstrated the APC’s commitment to developing public infrastructure that will create a workable environment for the people of the state. to open and develop their business.
Members of the House of Representatives, who spoke in Abuja on Thursday, also called on the people of Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency living in Nasarawa, Kaduna, and Borno States to vote for the APC governorship candidate in the state.
Like Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule and his Borno State counterpart, Babagana Umara Zulum, are seeking re-election on the platform of APC while Uba Sani is the party’s candidate in Kaduna State,
Agbese explained that the gubernatorial candidates have demonstrated the capacity to accommodate the type of representation planned for the people of Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, which will ensure that the constituents reap the economic benefits of traveling the state.
He said: “We have a plan that will benefit Nigerians, which will also benefit the people of my constituency who are in other states in Nigeria. I mean that is not based on the physical area of the constituency. Their interest will be better if they are in a state that is not opposition to the central government.
“On this account I encourage people to vote for APC candidates in whatever country they reside in. My people are well traveled, they are energetic and influential when it comes to politics.
“That’s why I want them to pitch their tent with the winning party. If they sit and allow the opposition party to win the governor’s seat where they are residents, it will be very difficult to have a certain influence.
“While I want them to vote for APC in any state, I especially call on people living in Lagos State to vote for our governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. In that case, he is seeking re-election and his first term has shown that he is eager to build public infrastructure in the tradition of APC.Voting for Sanwo-Olu means the continuity of building the infrastructure and also shows that the state will not oppose the federal government.
“In Nasarawa State, Governor Abdullahi Sule is also seeking re-election, same as Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum. Both are seeking re-election on the platform of our party.
“The things that both sides are doing in terms of infrastructure development and human capacity are well documented. I am asking my constituents who live in the two countries to vote for him because of the benefits that will come. These things have been widely discussed.
“As for Kaduna State, the APC governorship candidate, Uba Sani, is the best choice to ensure that the infrastructure and human development projects of the outgoing governor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai are not abandoned,” Agbese explained.
The member-elect who is also popularly known as Okanga Agila, called on APC members, especially in Benue State, to come out in numbers for the state election because complacency can give undue advantage to the opposition.
