Shamima Begum, a British national who left the UK to join ISIS forces in Syria when she was 15, lost her battle to regain her British citizenship on Wednesday.
Begum, now 23, was stripped of her citizenship on national security grounds in 2019.
Begum’s legal team said she was a victim of trafficking for sexual exploitation, while Britain’s Home Office said she was a loyal ISIS volunteer.
