Young love: fpromises, do not know the facts? Valentine’s Day featuring some of Hollywood’s biggest stars – and even setting the stage for some real romance.
The romantic comedy, which was released in February 2010, follows various couples around Los Angeles as they deal with their relationship issues on Valentine’s Day. The series of interconnected stories features first dates, crushes, long-term relationships and even rekindled romance between old flames.
Directed by critically acclaimed director Garry Marshall, The film is overflowing with A-list stars Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsey, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx and others. Two of the film’s leads, Taylor Swift and Taylor LautnerHowever, found love is dead screen after portraying a high school sweetheart.
The two began dating in the fall of 2009 after the filming of the film began, but broke up in December of the same year.
“He likes her more than she likes him. He goes everywhere to see her, but he doesn’t travel a lot to see her,” said a special source. Us Weekly in time. “They decided they were better off as friends.”

Fans began to speculate that the lyrics were about twilight star after the Grammy winner references “tan skin” and “sweet smile” along with a timeline that matches up with him and Roman Lautner’s.
“It’s almost word-for-word. This is a song and a conversation that needs to happen because I don’t want to hurt people. If you don’t do it on purpose, you have to do something better,” Swift said USA Today at the time of the track’s release. “I think I love singing about those details and relationships and lists of times, dates, details, names. But when there’s an interview and he says, ‘Are you dating this guy?’ or ‘Are you dating this person?’ or ‘What is your current relationship status?’ Suddenly I felt very ashamed.”
Lautner, for his part, confirmed the song was about him in August 2016 after he Scream Queens costar Leah Michele face it during Facebook Live.
“Didn’t he write a song about you?” at Glee alum asked, to which Lautner replied, “That’s what he did,” he replied. “He wrote a song. … It’s called ‘Back to December.'”
Despite the split, the duo remained friends and so on Cuckoo alum has appeared in several Swift concerts over the years. In November 2021, Lautner became engaged to another Taylor – Taylor Dome – and the couple tied the knot one year later. The “Shake It Off” artist, for him, has had a relationship with Joe Alwyn since 2016.
