Many US newspapers have said they will stop publishing the popular one Dilbert comic strip after its creator posted a video calling black people a “hate group.”
Scott Adams, who rose to fame in the 1990s with his satirical take on white-collar office life, is increasingly controversial for his views on social issues.

But the video he posted on Wednesday — in which Adams referred to black people as a “hate group” — proved to be the final straw for many. Dilbert publisher.
“It’s a hate group and I don’t want anything to do with them,” he said.
“Based on the way things are now, the best advice I would give to white people is to get rid of black people.”

This rant was prompted by a new opinion poll by the conservative-leaning Rasmussen Reports, whose results show that a slim majority of black respondents agree with the statement “It’s okay to be white”.

‘Not a difficult decision’
The USA TODAY network, which operates hundreds of papers across the United States, said Friday that it “will no longer publish the Dilbert comic due to recent discriminatory comments by its creator”.
Chris Quinn, editor of Regular Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio, said there was “not a difficult decision” for the paper to drop the comic strip.
“We are not a home for people who support racism,” Quinn added.
MLive Media Group – which runs eight Michigan-based publications – said it has “zero tolerance for racism,” and will drop Adams Strip because of “unapologetically racist racism”.
Washington Post said there it will drop the cartoon from its page “in the light of Scott Adams’s new statements,” although it is too late to stop the strip from being published in the weekend’s print edition.
