Unite, take back your nation – Obi urges Nigerians | The Guardian Nigeria News

The Presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Mr. Peter Obi, called on all Nigerians to join efforts in the journey of taking back the nation.

“We must arise to take back our country from the cold hands of corruption, insecurity and unproductivity,” said Obi in his New Year message to the nation issued by his media aide, Mr. Valentine Obienyem in Enugu on Friday.

Obi said that “2023 is a critical year that will determine the future direction of the nation”.

He explained that the nation cannot continue its retrogressive movement in the coming years, because it will lead to the total collapse of the nation.

“2023 is an existential year in our nation’s history. This is the year we must all unite against the abuse of our nation’s democracy and economy.

“The power is in our hands to take back our nation, in 2023, and we can do it,” he said.

Calling on Nigerians to support him to save the nation, Obi expressed his commitment to secure the country, unite the country and move from consumption to production.

He called on Nigerians to be accountable to their promises for a better country, when given access to power.

“I have made an agreement with Nigerians and I will not leave a promise that I cannot keep. Nigerians can hold me accountable with my promises,” Obi added.

He wants Nigerians to be a very productive 2023 and urged them to remain law abiding, while contributing to the growth and development of the nation.
