The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has appointed Prof. Anthony Nyong is an adjunct professor to share his wealth of experience with students and researchers in the area of climate change and related disciplines.
Nyong is an experienced academic and expert in several areas, including Environmental Management, Climate Change, Renewable Energy, Natural Resource Management and Green Growth.
The Deputy Registrar, Information and Communications, Abdullahi Abdullahi, announced that Nyong, who was a lecturer in the Department of Geography and Planning at the institution between 1987 and 2002, is the Director, Climate Change and Green Growth, African Development Bank (AfDB). , Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.
Vice Rector of UNIJOS, Prof. Tanko Ishaya, who announced the appointment while hosting the don at the Administrative Building, Naraguta Campus of the university, said the appointment was in recognition of Nyong’s track record and contribution to the profession and climate change. awareness within and outside Nigeria.
