The Enugu North Senatorial District Election Campaign Council of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, met at its new office in Nsukka to launch a grassroots election campaign to ensure a landslide victory for the Enugu State Governor and the PDP senatorial candidate for the district, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the PDP governorship candidate in the state, Dr. Peter Mbah, running mate, Ifeanyi Ossai, and other PDP candidates in the region.

The PDP Enugu North Senatorial Campaign Council is chaired by the Chairman of the Council, Prof Simon Ortuanya and the Director General (DG), Dr Vincent Obetta. Members of the campaign council said they are determined and confident that senator Ugwuanyi’s bid will bring great benefits to the county in addition to the remarkable achievements the governor has brought to the area in the past seven years and seven months.

He said that the good deeds of the governor in the state, especially in the zone, are too many, and sold his candidacy point in the upcoming senatorial election.

He added that the time has come to disseminate the achievements of the governor in the district to the electorate before the election. He spoke at an event marking the start of activities at the campaign office, which coincided with the added Zonal Executive Meeting of the PDP. The chairman of the zone of the party, Michael Onyeze, announced that the party, after evaluating the achievements of the six-year administration of Ugwuanyi in the zone in 2021, gave the governor behind, and asked him to contest for the Senate in 2023 to join in the praise. feat.

Onyeze emphasized that the zonal structure of the PDP is confident that the legislative and executive experience of Ugwuanyi, who has been a member of the House of Representatives and, now, as a governor, will be an added benefit to the fortunes of the people of Enugu North if elected to represent the district in the National Assembly in 2023.
