US federal agents have arrested four suspects in Florida accused of playing a key role in a plot to assassinate Haitian President Jovenel Moïse in 2021, authorities said on Tuesday.
The assassination of Moïse left a political vacuum in the Caribbean country and created a powerful gang that became the de facto ruler of large parts of the country’s capital.
Seven people were previously arrested in the US for the murder, according to the US Department of Justice.
