A man and a woman have died, while a teenage girl is fighting for her life, after being shot in Durban on Tuesday evening.
The shooting took place on Peters Road in Springfield Park, Durban.
The bakkie was sprayed with bullets
Emer-G-Med said paramedics arrived at the scene and found a VW Amarok bakkie riddled with high caliber bullets.
“The two occupants of the front of the vehicle, an adult male and female, were pronounced dead by paramedics,” said Emer-G-Med Paramedics spokesman Kyle van Reenen.
“A teenage female who was sitting in the back of the vehicle was found in critical condition.”
The teenager was rushed to the hospital
Van Reenen said advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize the teenage girl.
“Due to his massive injuries, he had a heart attack,” he said.

After successfully applying CPR, paramedics rushed the girl to a nearby hospital.
Van Reenen added that the motive for the shooting was unclear.
Two were taken in Berea
Meanwhile, in a separate incident on Tuesday, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to a scene in Berea, Durban, where two people were shot.
Both men had several gunshot wounds, said Van Reenen.
“The first was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived, while the other was found in a critical condition.
“Advanced life support resuscitation efforts were attempted, but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.”
