There have been more than 8,000 incidents of people reporting problems with the social media platform, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from several sources including errors posted by users on the platform.
“Twitter API” and “What is Twitter” shot to the top of Twitter trending topics in the US as a result.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk said last month the company would “not support free access to the Twitter API.” Application Programming Interface The free version is used by thousands of developers to analyze or better use Twitter data.
