Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has also prayed for the safety of the Ghanaian winger who is currently missing after the earthquake.
Gyan shared a photo of Christian Atsu on Twitter, with prayer emojis.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) also wants Christian Atsu to survive the disaster, which also threatened the life of Atsu’s club director, Taner Savut.
Atsu, who plays for Hatayspor, was reportedly among the thousands of victims trapped in the rubble after the devastating earthquake that struck Turkey on Monday.
More than 2000 people have been killed and thousands more injured after a catastrophic earthquake rocked Turkey and Syria overnight.
Several reports from Turkey said a search and rescue operation was underway for Atsu who plays for Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor.
Two of his friends as well as a member of the technical staff have been rescued but Atsu is still missing.
