The White House drew mockery Thursday for posting an AI-generated video celebrating what it claimed is now the “Trump Golden Age.”
The over-the-top clip featured computer-generated eagles soaring over the White House as bills rained from the sky and fireworks exploded.
It was set to the 2006 song “Make It Rain” by Fat Joe and Lil Wayne.
“POV: You just stepped into Day 179 of the Trump Golden Age,” the post read.
“Notice how they need to use AI because we are not seeing tangible evidence of anything good being done,” one person posted on X, formerly Twitter.
Another wrote: “Why don’t you make it rain Epstein files?” — referencing the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, whose ties to Trump have come under increasing scrutiny amid the Trump administration’s stonewalling of the release of files relating to the disgraced financier’s crimes.
Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, was asked to “roast” the video “hard” and didn’t hold back, replying: “Oh, the Trump Golden Age: where eagles crap cash and fireworks fix everything. Reality check ― it’s more like golden parachutes for billionaires while the rest dodge inflation hailstones. Nice CGI, but try making it rain jobs, not just memes.”
