He said angrily. He acted angry. He likes angry people. He is fascinated by dictators who kill innocent people. They don’t care about people dying from COVID and are angry at scientists for telling the truth about the threat of the virus. They have encouraged law enforcement to be harsh with people they arrest. He has joked about being sexually aggressive with women, that is, grabbing pussies. The attraction to physical violence and aggression should scare anyone away from being in control again.
A Rolling Stone article (Feb.14, 2023) also reported, “according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter, Trump is privately mulling the possibility of creating a government-backed video ad campaign that would accompany the federal revival of this method of execution. An interesting thought to imagine sitting in the room when Trump, seriously, proposed the fantasy of the death penalty. A spokesperson loyal to Trump said that the accusation that he proposed a government advertising campaign was “fake news.” However, friends of the former president said that they saw him -bali asks what he thinks about firing squads and suggests them as crime prevention.
Ironically, the draft-dodger president is obsessed with guns. His hyper-machoism is a classic defense mechanism to deal with feelings of inadequacy. Psychologists would see most of Trump’s behavior as a sign of weakness. He lies instead of facing the truth. He refused to comply with the subpoenas. He invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 400 times during his deposition. He is immature, aggressively attacking people who criticize him. He looked down on the dead war heroes because their bravery seemed weak. Trump often pretends to take a gun. It’s an attempt to appear macho when he’s insecure.
Examples of widespread violent behavior are:
Cause armed mobs to attack the Capitol and “repeal their country” and “fight like hell”.
While the crowd chanted, “hang Mike Prince” during the riots, Trump did nothing to stop the violent attacks.
They refuse to blame domestic terrorists, white supremacist groups
They made a 2nd Amendment hero out of Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who shot and killed several people at a Black Lives Matter protest.
Police recommended hitting the suspect in the side of the squad car
He suggested violence against journalists
Trying to force the military to shoot racial justice protesters during Black Lives Matter protests
He threatened to have a heckler at the rally punched in the face
Refused to stand against the Saudi Prince over the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Trump voters cannot defend their support for Trump simply because they love republican values. His anti-American rhetoric and psychologically unstable behavior reflect negatively on Americans who continue to ignore the threats they pose to our democracy and our values. They can no longer justify their support for Trump as a mere dislike of democrats and their policies. They applauded his harsh rhetoric in the public meeting. They laugh at cruel comments about people. They shouted criticism against the Constitution. Supporting Trump instead of supporting a different republican candidate who regards himself with dignity and compassion shows his supporters may be showing violent tendencies. Keeping people who want to bring back firing squads and guillotines, who respect dangerous dictators, and who violate the rule of law are valid criticisms.
