Trump Animatronic Returns To Disney’s Hall Of Presidents

The attraction famously features a robotic version of whoever is the current president making a statement using a voice recording of the real guy.

Trump made such a recording when his animatronic debuted in 2017 during his first term, but Walt Disney World swapped it out for a Joe Biden animatronic in 2021.

Trump was moved to the back for a few years, until his reelection guaranteed his return to the Hall of Presidents front line, which happened this past weekend.

But, this time, the robot Trump looks a little different, though Disney hasn’t confirmed any makeover.

Many people mocked Trump’s previous animatronic doppelganger for looking more like Jon Voight, a cross between Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders, or, most conspiratorially, like someone made a Hillary Clinton animatronic and rejiggered it to look more like Trump.

You can see the difference in the post below.

The previous animatronic had more speaking than the current incarnation.

The version that debuted in 2017 had a speech about the greatness of America, while the revamped robot just recites the presidential oath of office.

You can see the whole show in the video here, with the Trump animatronic popping in around the 22-minute mark.

A park spokesperson confirmed that the Trump animatronic’s face has been changed, but said updates are routine for all the presidents.

Though the first time Trump was president, his animatronic gave a speech about America’s greatness, the spokesperson said the attraction was updated during Biden’s term so that the current president only says the oath of office.

People on social media had thoughts about the revamp.

Stuff of nightmares. After a 6 month closure, the Hall of Presidents reopens at Walt Disney World with a new “more realistic” President Trump audio animatronic figure, featured in a new speaking role. He recites the oath of office, which is odd because it’s something he ignores. pic.twitter.com/LLTBowYEwN

I hear the figure’s speech gets crazy… he goes after everyone… Hillary, Biden, the Central Park 5, the media…

A little girl walking out of at the end turned to her mom and said, “Who’s Stormy Daniels?”

The Presidents behind him are fomenting a coup.

🇺🇸 TRUMP-BOT 2.0 DEBUTS AT DISNEY

Trump’s animatronic just made a comeback at Disney World’s Hall of Presidents.

And this time, it talks!

Yep, robo-Trump now recites the oath of office with all the charm of… well, a robot.

He’s also had a bit of a facelift.

I wonder if this is the final run of the Hall of Presidents. It is very odd that such a change opened unannounced by disney and shows how much they care about the ride. I think the only reason they kept it for now is they didn’t need to build a new animatronic and need capacity https://t.co/CWuRBeJcy4
