Being a loyal Republican voter today has become an embarrassment. They devour lies spread by Trump and Fox News and without using any critical thinking, they believe every word. The GOP big lie about favoring small government is an obvious lie to everyone who gets their news from anywhere but Fox. A small federal government doesn’t reduce individual freedoms. It doesn’t create laws that aim to turn all people into white Christian nationalists. They don’t try to restrict people’s First Amendment rights by suing them for writing books they disagree with. MAGA Republicans like big government when they want to inflict their extremist Christian ideology on us. Their interest in small government rests on their obsessions with having limitless gun rights and engaging in tax evasion.
Rural Americans, retired military, the disabled, and seniors better determine if they can pay their bills and buy food if the Republicans take away their federally funded benefits. ¹q
