A traditional healer has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a Free State domestic worker was left traumatized. He was said to have found the body of his 75-year-old employer in a pool of blood on Thursday morning when he reported for duty.
He quickly alerted emergency medical service personnel, who immediately pronounced him dead on the spot. Emergency medical services personnel were able to determine that he had suffered a head injury suspected to have been caused by a bludgeon with a blunt object.
The police then arrived at the scene and there was a case of murder.
According to the police report, the initial investigation led to a house in Majwemasweu.
Three people and the owner of the house, who is a traditional healer, were approached and questioned. The house was searched and the deceased’s mobile phone as well as an unlicensed .22-Star pistol were found and seized.
Traditional healers found with unlicensed firearms
It was a traditional healer who was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
The three arrested suspects, aged 21, 23 and 31, and the traditional healer, 38, were immediately arrested.
He faces charges of possession of a firearm and unlicensed murder. He will appear at Brandfort Magistrate’s Court on January 23, 2023.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, in Bloemfontein, police arrested a 31-year-old man on the same day for killing a man identified as Chukwiebuka Nwanya.
Victims kill execution style
Chukwiebuka was killed execution style with one gunshot wound to the side of the head above the ear.
The 31-year-old suspect was arrested by a special task force from Parkweg. The search team first visited the suspect’s address in Langehovernpark and learned that he had moved.
They had been able to gather enough information to track him down which led to his arrest. The suspect is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court soon.
In Durban, justice was done when accused murders, Jabulani Lethukuthula Nsibande (22) and Siphesihle Khathi, 24, were both sentenced to life imprisonment and an additional 15 years after being found guilty by the Ntuzuma District Court.
They have killed Thulani Raphael Mkhize, who is 41 years old, while walking on Linda Nzama road, next to Magogo Princess Stadium in KwaMashu on the morning of June 5, 2020. times.
