Tom Schwartz asked about Jax Taylorthat statement Tom Sandoval deceived Ariana Madix with more than just Rachel Lewis on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live
Before revisiting her and Sandoval’s second date in Big Bear with Raquel and her rumored boyfriend, Yes WenbergComment on the new record from Vanderpump Rules reunion, and offers an update on his relationship with Katie MaloneySchwartz revealed that he was aware of another infidelity committed by Sandoval.
“I only know one thing,” Schwartz stated in the April 5 episode of WWHL: After the Show. “Believe it or not, me and Tom, we’re separate people. We don’t talk at all, but I’m surprised.
Although rumors swirled of trouble in heaven before Sandoval and Ariana separated, with some claiming the couple stopped having sex, Schwartz said Sandoval and Ariana had something “special”.
“That relationship … It gives a lot of people hope,” he told the host Andy Cohen. “It’s beautiful, and it’s so romantic. And it’s like, God, if Tom and Ariana can’t do it, I don’t think anyone can Vanderpump Rules.”
Looking back on the January trip to Big Bear in a live broadcast, Schwartz said that the trip and Sandoval’s.
“I told Jo to come up later,” he explained. “[And Sandoval] Raquel smuggled in, and what do I do at that point? … I was under the impression that he more or less broke up with Ariana, and that he was in love with Raquel.
However, when asked if he was covering for Sandoval, Schwartz denied it and admitted he was “still recovering” from the reunion.
“I have never seen such a cruel denunciation of two human beings in my life,” he teased. “Ariana has fire in her. She eliminated two people, and I’ve never seen anything like it. I didn’t know she was here. Tom [had it worse]. Yes, of course. Raquel took a few blows, but Tom just threw them away.
During Wednesday’s episode of Pump Rules, Raquel boldly tells Katie that she can’t use her favorite pool during Scheana Shay’s wedding week in Mexico. And, when asked about the topic WWHL: After the ShowSchwartz admitted to being “a little sassy” before saying Raquel was “right.”
“It was Scheana’s moment. It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment and Katie being there would have interfered, compromised that magical moment, and I think out of the goodness of her heart, she shouldn’t have chosen to use the pool she liked,” Schwartz reasoned.
At that point, Andy questions Schwartz about not being able to advocate for Katie.
“Here’s the problem: Early on in our relationship, he was a little abusive. He was always asking for tiffs, and he was like, ‘You’re either with me or against me.’ He demanded unconditional loyalty in the beginning, he put in a lot of work, and now he’s better. Katie, love you. But in the beginning, he was a monster,” explained Schwartz. “He’s a monster. He’s fallen out with every single person in his life several times, and I don’t like being dragged into all that. I guess I become a little numb when he really needs me. Like a child who cries wolf.”
Although Schwartz isn’t Team Katie, she says their relationship is “good” now.
“I know deep down she likes me, it’s not like we want to get back together. It’s over. But I know I love Katie. She’s amazing, and I want to rekindle our friendship,” he said. “I miss hanging out with him.”
He later said that while there was an agreement not to hook up with people in the friend group, Katie had been “hooked up with another guy.”
“It’s a tenuous agreement,” he explained.
That said, he’s changed his mind about kissing Raquel — even though he says he’ll kiss her when she asks if the cameras aren’t there.
“In hindsight, I don’t think so [worth it]”, Schwartz admitted. “I never wanted to hurt Katie and the fall that I wanted, that I wanted, for that kiss, God. I just felt there was like a big buildup, and we had chemistry… It was a real kiss.
Overall, Schwartz said that while his business and Sandoval’s were affected by “Scandoval,” it was “a little rough.”
“We got a lot of negative blowback from this,” he said. “But I have to say, every time I go in, it’s really developing. It’s been amazing. But there are moments when people seem to destroy our place, and there’s no line. I know but vandalism, it’s too far.
