As you may have heard by now, Tom Sandoval was recently caught cheating on Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss.
The next scandal – or “Scandoval,” if you will – has been created Vanderpump Rules and the subject cast a national obsession.
But while all the attention might be good for the Bravo series that made Sandoval famous, it certainly is not good for the two LA restaurants he co-owns with Tom Schwartz.
The Toms is still relatively new to the LA hospitality scene – a competitive market if ever there was one.

At this stage in the game, a single mistake can be enough to bring a large empire crashing down.
And Sandoval’s mistakes are almost identical.
Now, the two Toms are paying the price, as their restaurants are being bombarded by Yelp users who are angry about the affair.

“Tom Sandoval sucks – a legitimate human being. Sorry Lisa and Ken, but since the skinny wiener hides his comments, we have to let go of the fact that he is garbage,” wrote one critic.
“TomTom is a place for pigs and housewreckers.” added another, referring to the first establishment Toms opened, with the help of Lisa Vanderpump.
“Don’t support pigs and cheaters..Tom Toms for homewreckers SHUT this place down.. Clowns,” a third chimed in.

You get the idea.
The pages for both restaurants now contain a disclaimer indicating that Yelp admins monitor all activity, and that new reviews must go through an approval process.
On its own, the hate campaign may not have had a huge impact on Toms’ profits, but the comments are a reminder of how unpopular these two men are.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Tom Schwartz admitted that he was worried that the restaurant would not survive Tom’s fraud scandal.
“Really I’m just sad about the negative impact it’s having on the business, but I think cooler heads will prevail, and I’ll keep going,” Schwartz said.
As for the mental state of his business partner, Schwartz seems confident that Sandoval will get through this rough patch now.

“[Sandoval’s] okay, i think. Relatively, I mean, he has a deep sadness, right, that he’s a piece of s–t. And to some extent, maybe,” Schwartz told TMZ.
“But he knows he’s up, and it’s all very sad.”
There is no denying that Sandoval’s problems are of his own making.
But unfortunately, he is not the only one who is hurt by his actions, and this situation can lead to a serious friendship between the Toms.
