Give the smallest and smallest credit to Tom Sandoval:
He didn’t try to make excuses.
The Vanderpump Rules star has been embroiled in a scandal, recently dumped by Ariana Madix after she allegedly had an affair with cast member Raquel Leviss.
Madix discovered the relationship a few days ago by finding sexts on Sandoval’s phone.
Things were pretty dire all around, but at least Sandoval wasn’t trying to pretend.
He just broke the silence on the split and the reasons behind it.
“Hey, I know there’s anger and disappointment towards me, but I hope Schwartz, friends and family get out of this situation,” Sandoval, 39, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, March 4, adding:
“Schwartz specifically only knows about it, and he certainly doesn’t condone my actions. It’s a very personal thing.
The musician and restaurateur referred here to his business partner Tom Schwartz.
Both own Schwartz & Sandy’s Lounge, a Los Angeles bar.
His business has been inundated with negative reviews lately … to the point that Yelp temporarily paused writing because it was coming in as spam.
Sandoval asked critics this weekend to remember that he’s not the only one investing in the restaurant.
“Also, Schwartz & Sandy’s may have my name on it, but there are also 3 other partners and 20 employees, who primarily depend on the restaurant for income for them and their families,” he said.
“Like TomTom, I am a small part of something bigger.
“Please be angry with me and not him. He did nothing wrong.”
Sandoval, on the other hand, is A LOT wrong.
She and Madix have been together for nine years.
Last Wednesday night, while supporting her boyfriend’s band, Tom Sandoval & the Most Extras, with concern in Los Angeles, she saw inappropriate messages between Leviss and Sandoval on the phone.
“This has been going on for over 6 months – the whole time, Tom has been sleeping next to Ariana in bed,” a source told People Magazine.
“He was completely blindsided by this; the damage didn’t even scratch the surface of what he felt.
