Todd Chrisley Sends Final Message Prior to Prison Stint: God Will Set Me Free!

Todd Chrisley is doing his best to keep hope alive.

On Tuesday, the US Network personality surrendered to authorities to begin a prison sentence of more than 10 years.

He and his wife Julie were found guilty last summer of various types of financial fraud, with the former then ordered to spend 12 years behind federal bars … and the last seven years.

The reality stars have insisted on innocence all together, however, alleging as soon as they were arrested that the former business associate set them up.

In the latest episode of the podcast Chrisley Confessions – which was recorded before he and Julie reported in prison – Chrisley Knows Best lead delved into the hope for some kind of redemption.

“The legal system, which we have never been a part of until now, is a very complex system that we are still learning and do not understand, so we have all the lawyers that work for us,” he explained. Todd is in the air.

“You just have to hope and pray to God that if one division of the justice system fails, the next level, which is the appellate court, looks at the error and tries to correct the error.”

Indeed, the couple’s legal team filed an appeal last year when a jury reached a wrongful verdict.

Todd and Julie Chrisley GUILTY. As a result, he will spend many years in prison.

How likely is this appeal to succeed?

“You have to believe in God and hope that God will lift you up and push you forward,” Todd continued on the podcast. “And that’s what we’re doing now.”

The rich, spoiled and entitled inmate added that “a lot of people are facing worse than we are facing.”

Still, he believed that what he was about to do would be the end not last.

Todd Chrisley does not appear to be an ethical individual. That’s just our opinion, of course.

“I think that’s why I’m in a better place, because I know it’s not the end goal,” Todd said.

“I know that this may be my future, but I also believe that the justice system will change it.

“I also believe that the appeals court will see this for what it is.

“We are deliberately not talking about the case because we have been asked not to. We will let our lawyers talk about it.

Todd Chrisley, Up Close
Todd Chrisley seems like a pretty ugly guy. That’s what we have to say in this caption.

Todd and Julie, who have been married since 1996, were engulfed in a week-long trial that ended in June when they were convicted of tax evasion, bank fraud and conspiring to defraud the IRS.

Prosecutors at the time alleged that the wealthy reality star used false documents to obtain a $30 million bank loan…

He also hid millions of dollars from the IRS that he had earned from the program.

Todd reported to Pensacola Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida on Tuesday.

That same day, Julie entered the Marianna Federal Prison Camp – a Kentucky facility two and a half hours away from where her husband would serve his term.

Like her dishonest husband, Julie also hopes that the couple will receive justice at the right time.

“We believe that this test will be a testimony,” the 50-year-old said in the podcast.

“We believe that there is a purpose in this pain and we do not believe that this is the end of the road for us, that we are just beginning to scratch the surface of God’s will for our lives.

“We thank everyone who listens to our podcast. We just appreciate and thank you for your prayers.
