Wolverhampton 7.00 – Evania faces five high class features

At Scu Picks Expert Tips By BetUK Disadvantages (7.00) headlines a mammoth eight-race card at Wolverhampton on Saturday night, with six to be sent for Grade 2 contests.

Kevin Philippart De Foy’s Evania look to continue the leading chance as he bids to make it four wins from five career starts in title-chasing Danny Muscutt.

With Championship leader Kevin Stott out of action, Muscutt had two chances to draw level or even pass Stott.

They faced tough opposition, especially in Hugo Palmer’s hat-trick effort Knowlton CrossΒΈ mount Oisin Murphy, after an impressive winner over course and distance last month.

Basic notes has shown a high level of form over the season but the four-year-old disappointed last time out at Lingfield and will be hard for punters to trust.

Wolverhampton 7.30 – Good chance for Murphy as Ghiani returns

At Daily Highest Odds With BetUK Handicap (7.30) looks like the contest is wide open and exciting with 12 runners lined up.

Murphy re-teamed with The Horse Watchers owner and trainer Ed Dunlop on his return a heathenNice win at Newcastle back in September.

Alan King Greystoke has a form behind the aforementioned Nolton Cross, when he won the course three times Johnny Boom it can be dangerous.

The race also saw the return of former champion apprentice rider Marco Ghiani following the conclusion of a six-month ban for testing positive for cocaine. He has three rides on the card, starting with Eagle Court for Michael Blake.

Southwell 3.00 – Densworth and Gitche Gumee clash in hot rookies

At Call Star Sports On 08000 521321 Novices’ Hurdle (3.00) in Southwell features ten runners but it looks like a direct take-out between Ben Pauling’s Densworth and Alan King Gitche Gumee. Densworth has improved with every start after winning bumpers in the summer. Kayf’s son Tara went in front at the third time of the asking last time out at Newcastle in impressive fashion.

This doesn’t seem like a big step and he will be hard to beat if he continues to move up the curve.

Gitche Gumee won on debut over hurdles but has yet to get his head in front in three subsequent starts despite being market leader on all three occasions. Punters will be wary of returning to horses that have let them down so often.
