Nicky Henderson’s Bold Endeavor was the star of Tuesday’s impressive card at Doncaster, with the seven-year-old improving rapidly for the Seven Barrows team.
1.50 Doncaster – Bold Attempt to repeat the victory
Bold Effort made a very smart stable debut for Nicky Henderson’s team and could also take a feature Sky Bet Novices Limited Handicap Chase (1:50) before moving on to bigger and better things.
The seven-year-old was impressive during his run at Leicester, and was up against some unseen rivals here.
Sam Thomas’ Skytastic certainly has a bit to improve on, having been disappointed in his Chase debut when Famous Bridge was an exciting runner over the fence for Nicky Richards and the late Trevor Hemmings.
3.00 Doncaster – Wide-open obstacle handicap difficult to overcome
If you have managed to navigate the previous heat, the Sky Bet Extra Board Daily Handicap (3:00) will take a serious amount of solving, with 16 runners in a wide open race.
That is not exposed Maclaine may be favorites for Oliver Sherwood’s team, having won last time at Fontwell and having form behind the likes of Walking On Air.
Three other last-time winners are also in the running though, with Tommy Cullen, Ant Bridgie and Okavango Delta all chasing back-to-back successes.
7.00 Southwell – Top grade handicap with Haggas and Appleby racing
