Switch! Tish Cyrus has declared he is “happy” with Dominic Purcellher first public relationship after splitting from Billy Ray Cyrus.
The former couple married in 1993 after a whirlwind romance. After almost 20 years of marriage, they decided for the first time when the country singer filed for divorce in 2010. Tish and Billy later announced their decision to give their relationship another chance.
Two years later, Tish filed her own divorce papers based on “irreconcilable differences” at the time. “This is a personal matter and we are working to find the best resolution for the family,” he said Us Weekly in a statement in June 2013. “We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Shortly after their breakup they made headlines, us confirmed Billy and Tish’s second reconciliation. The duo — who share Miley, Braison and Noah — eventually split again in April 2022. (Billy adopted Tish’s children from her first marriage, Brandi and Trace, before they split.)
“After 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways – not with sadness, but with love in our hearts,” a family representative said in a statement at the time. Billy and Tish are ready to make “their own way” in life. “We will always be a family and we look forward to a continued and loving shared experience as friends and parents. We did not make this decision lightly or quickly, but with so much going on in the world, we want to provide clarity and closure, so that we can stay focused in what is important.

Tish, for her part, was spotted spending time with Purcell. After making their relationship official on Instagram the same month, Billy confirmed their engagement, the manager hinted at their blossoming relationship with Prison Break actor on social media.
Meanwhile, Purcell was previously married to Rebecca Williamson from 1998 to 2008, and in an ongoing high-profile romance with AnnaLynne McCord. The two began dating in 2011 before going their separate ways three years later. They reconciled in 2016 and dated for two more years before calling it quits.
In September 2021, McCord praised Purcell for his support as she dealt with the trauma of past sexual abuse.
“Sometimes we attract what we are. And especially if you have not realized the shadow, if you have not realized what is under the surface, and I have realized really f–king nothing. So, he is a mirror again for me,” he explained in an interview for Giddy’s bare. “A lot of things happened to him, different versions of the same things that happened to me and vice versa. Dom made room for me but he called me f–k out. He didn’t take bulls–t and that’s why I trusted him. I don’t trust man power, I don’t trust men. Because I think, ‘I’m going to push every f–king button you got. And if you cave, I can’t trust you.'”
She added, “There are many reasons why this man will be my person forever. Literally, he is staying at my house now. We are not together. … We are family is what it is now.”
