As the general election approaches, the presidential candidate of the All progressive congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday promised to ensure a good working relationship with his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima if elected to power.
Speaking at a national youth town hall meeting held in Abuja, he took a jibe at former President Olusegun Obasanjo who had a tumultuous relationship with his running mate Atiku Abubakar when he was in the saddle between 1999 to 2007.
Amid chants of “under your mandate, we will stand” by the raucous youths, Tinubu said there was no way he would engage in an open war with Shettima which is the case between Obasanjo and Atiku.
Reiterating the position that Obasanjo’s decision to endorse the presidential candidate of the labor party (LP) Peter Obi remains useless, he expressed optimism that he will hand over the competition in the race for the exalted seat of the lowly president resounding in the polls.
