TikTok videos of soldier killed in Ashaiman with his alleged lover breaks hearts online

The Ghanaian Army and Police have yet to release an official report on what may have led to his death as investigations into his killing are ongoing.

As social media mourns Imoro, a video that has gone viral captures a moment of intimacy with a young woman he calls his girlfriend. The video was first posted on TikTok by a woman with the caption “I have lost someone who is irreplaceable“.

In the video, the women identified as Nana Yaa and Imoro are seen sharing pegs and touching each other. A heartbroken Nana Yaa created the video and also added a screen recording of her late boyfriend’s video call and photo.

Videos posted on TikTok have since broken the hearts of viewers with messages of condolence and comfort for Nana Yaa. “I’m sorry bro, take care of our queen,” said the TikToker with another adding “please forgive me, be careful of our queen“.

National attention has been drawn to the death of Imoro this morning, March 7, 2023, after some military personnel stormed the area for allegedly killing a colleague officer.

On Tuesday morning, during heavy rain, a group of soldiers stormed the community to take revenge on the civilians. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the military can be seen beating civilians at various points.

Other footage also shows Ashaiman dying in silence, many hiding in their rooms in fear of the soldiers.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians on social media reacted to the military attack on Ashaiman.

While some have condemned the actions of soldiers who beat civilians, others have advocated the use of such means to find those responsible for the killings.
