This is how MPs chose Akufo-Addo’s new minister
The new Minister appointed by President Akufo-Addo was finally approved by the Members of Parliament after several hours in the House.
The voting lasted for about an hour, followed by the sorting of the ballots and then counting by some Parliament staff.
After the counting was completed, the Speaker, Alban Bagbin announced the results that all ministers and deputy minister candidates were approved by the Parliament.
The Minority Caucus had earlier vowed to reject all ministers but this could not be done as some National Democratic Congress legislators chose to vote for the candidate.
