Nia Sanchez recalled the phone call she overheard between Jax Taylor and her husband Danny Booko. The Valley star also shared if she thinks his wife Brittany Cartwright was involved in Jax’s “plan” – and she revealed where she stands with Brittany today.
In the new season, castmate Jesse Lally accused Brittany of secretly supporting Jax’s plan to expose Danny in season 2. Though Brittany denied it, some fans believe that Brittany stirs the pot behind the scenes while pretending to not be involved.
On “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Nia recalled the phone call she overheard between Jax and her husband.
“I remember the phone call in between season one and two because I heard Jax on speakerphone telling Daniel, ‘I’m coming after you. I’m going to take you down,’” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram, referring to the allegation that Danny is a different person when he drinks. “[Jax’s] specific words were, ‘you got a good edit and I got a bad edit, so I’m coming for you.’ Those were his words.”
“Daniel was like, ‘man, first of all, we’re friends. I thought we were friends … and I have a family. I have a livelihood outside of this. I have a career outside of this. Why are you saying this?’” Nia added. “And Jax just kept doubling down and he was like, ‘I don’t think you got the right edit. I’m going to show people who you really are. I got a bad edit, this is not who I am.’ … So he just had it in his head.”
Nia was then asked if she thought Brittany was fighting Jax’s fight.
“I don’t,” she said. “But … there’s those little moments where, for example, like Brittany and Jax weren’t together. And you know, she had called and like mentioned that Kristen was engaged when it was supposed to be private. So I’m sure … Jax had his plan and maybe told her about it, but I don’t think she was in on it or intentional about it.”
But Nia said she and Brittany are in a “good” place.
The star also said she was surprised that she and Danny bring out so many emotions in their castmates – and that the “same conversation” about Danny’s drinking “would be happening a second season in a row.”
“I imagined like people have other things going on in their life, other dramatic things or other stories to tell,” she said. “I’m like, we have enough drama and things going on in our own life. … I’m sure other people have other things to talk about, but it’s still us.”
“The people that we spend the most time with … know who we are on a daily basis when there’s no cameras around,” she added. “When we’re just at home or if we’re going out to WeHo together, or if we’re going to the farmer’s market together, when they see us in everyday life. And so I do feel like they are like, what is happening?”
Specifically, Nia praised Kristen Doute and Zack Wickham.
