Janet Caperna revealed whether she felt vindicated about her claims against Danny Booko on Daryn Carp‘s podcast last week.
As she also reacted to Kristen Doute‘s loyalty to Danny, 42, and Nia Booko, 36, shared her thoughts on a potential alliance among The Valley cast, and weighed in on a possible reconcilation between Danny and her husband, Jason Caperna, 43, Janet shared who talked the most sh*t on social media, named the person she felt the least need to apologize to, and more.
“So many people in the last two years were saying like, it almost made me feel crazy because I was seeing and witnessing things or hearing about things [from Danny] that I’m like, you know, were kind of making me want to take a step back and be like, ‘I don’t know if I vibe with this person.’ And then so many people were kind of coming [for] me, being like, ‘You’re wrong. You’re crazy,’ or this and that. So when other people were seeing it, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m not totally crazy and out of my mind,’” Janet recalled on the June 16 episode of After the Edit With Daryn Carp, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram.
That said, Janet admitted that she “handled that situation poorly.”
“There’s definitely a lot of aspects that I was like, ‘Should have done this differently, should have said this differently, should have handled this situation differently.’ So vindicated, I think, is the wrong word,” she continued. “I don’t think I was 100 percent right. And I stand by the apologies I made. So I don’t want to like, walk back the accountability I’ve worked really hard to try to take. [But] I’m glad that people are seeing things on their own and with their own eyes.”
Moving on to Kristen, Janet said she wished her co-star were as loyal to Jasmine Goode, 38, as she was to the Bookos “because they’re very close.”
“I don’t want to call it a spell, but there is some sort of thing where she just can’t admit any wrongdoing from Nia or Danny, and it confuses me,” Janet noted. “I would love to see Kristen say, ‘I love you guys, but you could do this differently,’” she suggested. “Constructive criticism [in] friendship, I think, is how you grow and become a better person and a better friend.”
Although Janet didn’t necessarily think that there was an alliance between her castmates at the start of season three, a conversation between Danny, Tom Schwartz, 43, and Jesse Lally, 46, convinced her that there could have been.
“They [were] seemingly like, ‘Let’s go after [Brittany Cartwright].’ And that surprised me,” she revealed. “I was like, ‘Maybe there is something going on, like on that side of the friend group, where they are, you know, having these conversations more than I initially believed.’ Because on my end, we were accused of like, ‘Oh, you guys sat down and put a target on Danny’s back, and you guys were plotting and planning.’”
“I thought that was so silly,” she went on. “And then I’m kind of seeing some of these conversations play out in real time. Like, ‘Huh, maybe they’re accusing us of that because that’s what they’re doing.’”
Looking to the future, Janet said she hoped that Jason and Danny would get back to a better place.
“Jason and Danny had their own friendship, you know, separate from Nia and I. I hope that if they both feel like it’s the right thing to do to move forward, I’ll fully support that,” she confirmed.
Also during the podcast interview, Janet said Danny talked the most sh*t on social media and was the cast member she felt she needed to apologize to the least.
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
