As expected LD took Somerton by a huge margin

LAB did Selby with a big swing

As expected according to the betting market, the Tories held on to the seat of Hillingdon in an overnight election that was sure to be a huge blow for Labour. At this stage before the general election, Starmer’s party should be able to pick up seats like this easily. This is also in Greater London where the parties are generally good.
Somerton and Frome were another huge win for the Lib Dem whose party gained the seat on a swing of nearly 30%. This parliamentary election record has now seen four big gains for the Tories. Compare that to the main opposition who had no net gain against the Tories. A party hoping to form the next government should have a better electoral record than that.
