This morning Ipsos published their January leadership rankings and as you can see in the chart above the numbers are not looking good for Boris Johnson.
There is one figure in British politics that attracts more negative attention than Johnson, Corbyn, who is no longer relevant and I am not even sure without checking whether he is still a member of the parliamentary Labor Party.
Johnson attracted significant negative attention and this, I would advise, not to return to the party leader and Number 10.
If they find a way to get rid of Sunak, and it’s a big one if they do, other figures besides the Tory Party leader at the last election will be the beneficiaries.
I think that there is fluidity in the Conservative parliamentary party today and it is easy to jump to the wrong conclusion – but the Tories won in 2019 not because they are led by Boris Johnson, but because their opponent is Jeremy Corbyn who they now have. has been totally discredited.
